This brief video highlights a master Japanese blacksmith that creates bespoke tools. A beautifully executed video. The craftsman's desire to create the best tools he can is how he envisions others wanting to enter the craft. Recently and from my own experience I have noticed many professionals taking up hobbies/side projects where they can use their hands to create outside the office. The ability to then take that object and use today's online technology to market and sell your offerings is quite impressive and growing... Etsy etc. As retail evolves I see customers wanting to understand the products they are buying, how they are created, where and by who. Retailers that recognize this and offer new ways for customers to interact with their products are surely going to be a step ahead.
